Let's see, Tim wants to play the course the way the architect intended. Hmmm...well he did say "kind of like" to play them that way, that's a wise move on is part. Maybe that's why Riviera is adding things at his request, elements of the design that never existed before (again, these fall into the "kind of" part).
BradM, if Prairie Dunes was hosting a Men's Open, not a Women's, Tim or Tom Meeks would have left their mark in ways that had nothing to do with common sense or original design intent. Sorry to be such a cynic in view of his kind remarks about the course (but I suspect he raved about Caves Valley too...), however, their track record is consistent. No classic course should ever listen to the USGA when it comes to architecture and the original intent of the old guys, assuming they would like to remain faithful to their original design.
