Bunkers at SFGC
« on: May 19, 2008, 01:46:39 PM »
GCA,

Does anyone have pics of the great bunkering at San Francisco Golf Club.  Many feel that these bunkers were some of the best ever designed by A.W. Tillinghast.  I would really like to see the tarantula bunkering that was created and maybe someone on GCA has some images that they will share of this great golf club.

Go to my In My Opinion piece on the golf courses around Lake Merced. I've linked to some really good overhead bunker shots.

Matt, there is evidence that the bunkers that SFGC came to be known for were not actually done by AWT.
