Did anyone see the picture of this course's 6th hole (par 3) over 2 inlets of the Atlantic in Golf Digest.  Looks pretty spectacular..Not sure on the rest of the course as the internet is devoid of info..

Anyone ever play it.. It is only a 9 holer and near Ballyliffin.

Yes - I have played it about 10 times. I grew up in that area - its not a bad little course, very scenic, but it is very short. On some par 4's, if the winds at your back, you will drive it over the green. On other holes about 360 yards, into the wind, it will take you 2 good wood shots to get near the green!! The wind can really blow in that part of the world. If you are headed in that direction, make sure you don't miss Narin & Portnoo - another little gem that does not get a lot of attention.

Agree with Friel, probably one of the most scenic 1st tees in the world - I think better than Portstewart which is frequently photographed. A fun rather than great course but worth playing if you are in the area although it is off the beaten track.  Home course of Daniel O'Donnell, a well known (and either loved or hated) Irish Singer.  If in the area do not miss Narin and Portnoo - a real hidden gem with some wonderful links holes and probably the best scenery of any course in Ireland - X times better than Old Head.  Ran knows it from playing there and Tom Doak has it in the confidential guide as one of the 10 best places in the world to get away from it all.

I third the recommendation on Narin & Portnoo! What a wonderful place. I came across it by accident in 1994 driving up the west coast of Ireland. I had not heard about the course at all but we decided to spend the night in Narin and teed off about 7:15pm on a Saturday. The first 3 or 4 holes are not much, but once you climb up to the tee on top of the dunes on the 5th or 6th hole and see the entire panorama that surrounds the course, your breath is taken away. The itself is not too bad either.
