When a bottle of wine or a bottle of whiskey ages well it generally tastes better I believe.
When Sawgrass opened it was not well liked at all by the players. These days it gets rave reviews. Surely then it has 'aged well'. >:(

Like a lot of movie stars, it took some major plastic surgery to let it "age well".

That it has John, but so have many of the word's great golf courses. Courses evolve and have to change with the advent of 'course destroying' technology and modern maintenance equipment.

Could'nt you say that the entire course was and is intended to be a symbol and an icon for pro golf?  Hasn't it performed that task very well?

Wasn't it supposed to be a bit over the top?  And is't that great for the top 200 golfers in the world?

Also, when the pros didn't like the greens or the course was built with poor drainage.
