Joe, I won't be able to detail the benefits because there's not a lot known about the MPGF, who handles the charity side of things,
I believe Stan Dodd has said on here in the past they do provide support for some of the programs run at local schools.
There just are not too many poor people left on the peninsula to help. Or, the poverty line has moved considerably. For some of the caddies with kids and mortgages, this week is especially huge during the slow season.
I suspect any loathing, or sacrifice, in watching this TV coverage is limited to a small group of say 1500 people. Or is it 1497, now?
