I don't if it's the BEST ever since I haven't been to the UK, Auz, Long Island or the Sand Hills region, but the best I've SEEN is CPC. I haven't played it, but have seen quite a bit of it and it's the first that comes to my mind.

Agreed, Cypress Point.  It is wonderful how the course is routed through dunes, forest, back to dunes, back to forest, back to dunes, over chasms of the Pacific Ocean, then through the forest to the clubhouse.  As always, MacKenzie makes great use of natural landforms, in this case the mega dune that is the site of the 9th green, 11th green, 10th tee, 6th green, 7th tee.  Or was it Raynor?  ??? ::)
