Tobacco Road on Saturday 12/8

Brad Tufts and I are playing Tobacco Road Saturday 12/8 if anyone would care to join - 8:30am.

Forecast for Sanford, NC is 60 degrees and partly cloudy.

Having never played the course, but seeing 2 completely different versions of Strantz thusfar at Royal New Kent and MPCC, I'm eager to see this place.

Consider me supremely jealous, fellas. That's my all-time favorite course.

It's very different from the status quo and certainly not for everyone, but I'm sure you'll find it interesting even if it doesn't fit your tastes.

MPCC-Shore is a great course, but somewhat subdued by Strantz standards. I havn't played RNK, but I'm pretty sure that's more in tune with what you'll find at TR.

I assume the trees right below the first tee box have grown some in two years ...

Believe it or not, there is lots of room for a Simperville-like drive ...

And two blind shots on the first hole ...

I LOVE Tobacco Road; but you either love it or hate it.

First time I played it I shot 95 - the next time 79. Don't let the course intimidate you - there is plenty of room out there.  I heard TB called The Pit on steriods.

Here is the look of the 18th tee - first time we played it took us 5 minutes to figure out where to aim - good luck and have fun.
