I think that very little can be done other than spot planting.
As to those stating that NGLA should have bought the land, you can only buy what's for sale. An option on a buffer with respect to a future sale was my suggestion 20+ years ago.
I don't understand the NEED for a fence, but, perhaps a prudent reason exists.
I think you have to visit NGLA, Shinnecock and Sebonack to get a sense of the nature of the buildings and their impact on all of the properties.
I still don't understand why some of the best property at Sebonack was chosen to be the parking lot.
I like the way Metedeconk and The Medalist sited their bungalows. At night, everything is dark and most close their blinds/shades/drapes.
