I just realized that I have the rare opportunity to ask tournament-level golfers about their tournament experience at a course like Pine Valley.

So, Jamie S, JES, Andrew, Michael (sorry if I missed anyone), would you be so kind as to share some of the your  impressions/experiences of playing there in the Crump Cup?

Any approach you liked to take is fine by me: e.g. competitve high/lows, suprises (harder than expected holes/easier ones), the architecture under tournament conditions, the atmosphere etc.  

Id be happy to hear any of the thoughts that you find  important/interesting.

There is a great story in the latest issue of T&L Golf that addresses this very question. Tom Dunne (a GCA member) interviewed Buddy Marucci, Trip Kuehne, Steve Smyers, and Garth McGimpsey following last years Crump Cup. It's a substantive story (nearly four pages long) and covers the players impressions of tournament golf at PV. It's definitely worth a read.
