It's not really the words that bother me [heck, we all have sworn on the golf course, in some way, at some time...].
It's when I see him, or any other tour pro [this post isn't entirely aimed at Tiger] turn around after a bad shot and absolutely slam their club into the turf. They know they are on live national/international TV, and yet they do it anyway.
I can still recall seeing Bill Rogers in the Hawaiian Open some 20+ years ago, slam a wedge into the middle of the fairway so hard that his caddie had to put down his golf bag and yank at the club with both hands to extricate it from the turf. Then, after putting out on the green with Hale Irwin, getting a big-time glare from Irwin as the two left the green, as if Irwin was saying "if I ever see you do something stupid like that again..."
