Austin / San Antonio Golf Dinner? or Outing?

Thanks to Cary's recent questions about Barton Creek and San Antonio, it seems that the number of GCA members has grown here in Central Texas.

Wondering if folks have any interest in either getting together for a casual group dinner and/or a golf outing at a worthy course?

Not sure if I have the bandwidth to pull an entire event together but sure we could find the resources if there's enough interest.

Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

since some conflicts came up last weekend, I didn't further pursue the 30th Parallel Gang Outing from Houston..  Ms SHeila & I could make it over there.. or perhaps meet closer to home at the Falls in New Ulm or the Bandit or other parts westward???

I would be interested in coming over from Houston to either location if you planned on a weekend.
