have been very pleasantly surprised by some AP courses -- Hapuna might be my favorite on the Big Island.

Cannot honestly say I've played a Palmer that I thought was really good? I love Laurel Valley but his tweaks would not constitute it a "Palmer Course"

Ususal Suspects for Nicklaus... May River, Muirfield Village, Cabo del Sol.

The Bear's Club is certainly one of Jack's Best.  Lost Tree was a great redo and i would be interested to play the new north palm beach.

Palmer:  Tralee and Spring Island, which are certainly the two best properties I've seen that he's worked on.

Nicklaus:  Muirfield Village, Desert Highlands, Cabo del Sol ... I'll abstain on Sebonack since I had something to do with it.  Desert Highlands was really radical and dramatic for its place in time.  I haven't seen much of Jack's most recent work but I wouldn't put May River or The Bear's Club in this company.

Tom what aspects does The Bear's Club lack to keep it out of that company?  Besides Muirfield, i don't think there is another course he has put more time into.

It doesn't get much press anymore, but I enjoyed Jack's Sycamore Hills in Fort Wayne, IN. One of the four best in Indiana.
