A Nice Day for Golf (at Colorado Golf Club)
« on: September 30, 2006, 07:40:22 PM »
It's a beautiful day for golf out here south of Denver. Took the kids for a walk, and saw some folks playing, and thought I'd post a couple pics:

If I remember correctly, this is the fourth hole, maybe the fifth, but a nice panorama nonetheless.

I think that this is the sixth green from behind the back tee.

Looks nice, eh?

Well, I live in the Pinery, but this course is right next door. It is C&C's Colorado Golf Club.

I don't know Sam or Mo Scott, but if they're in the neighborhood, I'd love to.

My wife and I are actually talking about moving to the Denver area within the next couple years.  I've been looking into golf clubs in the area.  Is Colorado Golf Club's membership closed at this time?

CGC membership is about 70% sold except for those buying real estate there. The membership cost is approaching 6 figures. I understand there is a soft opening of the course from now until mid-November when the course will close for the winter.

The people I have spoke too in the Denver area tell me the course is getting behind the scene rave reviews and is highly anticipated.

Saturday was the first time we'd seen any play on the course at all. I'd love to hear from those who have played it.

Kirk -

I believe your first picture is the 5th fairway and the second pic is indeed  the par 3 6th, I think about 240ish from the back tee. To the right of the
6th hole is the great par 4 12th. I was lucky enough to get a look around a couple of weeks back. This is a terrific place. Wait until you get a peek at the short course too. Mr. McGetrick and company are really getting this right.
