First pic, about to chip = Brian Gracely.  I'd recognize those sockless black shoes anywhere.

Not sure about the chaps on the green.

2nd pic = ???  I have a guess but I think I'd insult both parties if I'm wrong....

That was my guess also... ole Sarge,
another silver fox.   ;D

But what doesn't JK like about that photo?
God it could be literally ANYTHING....

the cart ...
the semi-untucked shirt ...
the red label on the pants ...
the fariways are too green ...

Well I know it is the 12th tee at WH, and I'm surprised that the date is sept 04.  I thought the house that now occupies the hill site behind 11 tee behind the bench above the white stake was there for more than 2 years.  Perhaps JK doesn't like that the gent striking the ball is not between tee markers, or they weren't out that day... allowing for you to pick where you wanted to tee off from.  Or, perhaps JK simple doesn't like yet another rumpled ass shot. ;) ;D

Hmmm...I didn't know Sarge had made it out there..I don't know who it is..interesting.

What I don't like about the pic is the feel of the layout...It surprised me. Kind of a gut thing.  Is everyhole mini-contained by high grasses. Looks so artifically natural to me..

From a fashion standpoint..I don't like the cargo pocket on the pants.  Are you sure that date is right..

Only JK would come up with a term like
"artifically natural."

But strangely I know what he means....

And I don't find that to exist at Wild Horse.

JK, I feel confident that if you saw this course
in person, you'd get a better gut feel. But then
again predicting you is rather a foolish
endeavor.

John, interesting opinion.  The dwarf blue grass FWs do sltand out as they wind within the prairie.  They are generally very wide compared to back east courses.  They have generous surrounds around the greensites before leading to the native grasslands.

Did you enjoy the FW playing surface?

AHA!  Gotcha.  Pictures do often leave the whole
story untold.

RJ,

I have not been there and would hope I would have good sense to call you first if I ever do.  I only commented on not liking the picture..not the course.

I was just there Sat and Mon.  Wish you were too.  I'd be interested to see if your first impression from the photos changed.  Another lesson in evaluation by photo, I guess...

Getting back to the other pics, is that golf course in photo 3 from Tennessee?

Sean - cool, I got Gracely correct.

But this makes me curious.. what kind of
weather means one wears shorts and a
sweater?

 ;D

Ryan - that is one of the great clips of all
time.  I shall not ruin it by divulging the ID
of the golfer there.  But MANY ought
to know this one.

Without a doubt that is one of the best if not funniest postings on GCA, evan if the mollydooker was heat prostrated and a bit daffy.

It also causes me to make a new posting about the method of doing clips...

Sean - that was going to be my guess.
Although I'd say Wisconsites or Minnesotans
can pull that off equally well.

I can verify that from personal experience.  As a matter of fact the shorts/sweater season is my favorite for golf! ;)

Cheers,
Brad

Brad, what really sets Badgers and Gopher public course players apart is the reverse selection.  I saw a guy yesterday with long sweatpants and a wifebeater sleeveless shirt. :-\  ...what a pity...

Isn't that last photo from a Doak course where I understand a certain left hander played a carom shot off the rocks.

It's only a photo until you click on it, Jerry :)
