Jerry - It appears we have 12 commitments thus far (I know nobody has sent a check yet) so would we have enough impetus for a re-order?  Garland requested a change of color (black is always elegant).  Do you have an account with Sun Mountain?  An early comment in the thread talked about a wholesale price.  Can we cajole you into a 2008 refresh of the GCA bag?

I sure would be interested also.  I liked the looks of the Swift more than the Mini.  Not much more weight and it appears to have a bit more storage.

Its a hoot when you play with some other GCA'ers, and they have the same stand bag.  Very funny when you walk across to the wrong bag at the edge of the green and try and put your putter away.

Good bag Jerry.

Although it would mean shelving my good old IZZO bag, I too would be interested. Thank you.

Any color but that silver last time would get me in.

For what it's worth, I have the exact same bag (Sun Mountain Mini) in dark green, bought from my club's pro shop (it has the club's logo on it).  So I think other colors may be available through special order.

The color was chosen because it is easily recognizable so if a GCA guy happened to see one he could then see if the logo was on the bag and he knew he could introduce himself to a fellow GCAer.  The logo was small because it was not meant as an advertisement or promotional material for GCA - dare I say, GCA doesn't need any promotion.

I will consult with Ran and see what he decides.  If he says okay, we will ask for suggestions of the color based upon the currently available colors.  But there will only be one style bag in one color as that helped keep the cost down since as you know, the price was well below what most people could buy them for.

Jerry - I (and all others) certainly appreciate your counsel in this area.  We will wait patiently until you get back to us with hopefully a favorable reply from Ran.

I think I saw somewhere that Sun Mountain makes those bags for Titleist, maybe it's the same bag?

Mike - The bag looks great however we would incur the cost of a setup charge for embroidery and we don't know if anyone has access to a wholesale account for Titlest.

I thought Ogio made Titleist bags. But maybe that's not the super lites, too.

I figure this bag will be for walking my new Florida club, so I'm also going to try to carry fewer clubs (~9-10).  We'll see how that goes.

I have spoken to Ran he has given his okay to go ahead with another group of bags and perhaps short sleeve wind/rain shirts.
The bag this time will probably be the Sun Mountain superlite 3.5 in
navy blue and perhaps the mini as well.  The short sleeve wind/rain shirt - top, which is worn over your golf shirt, will also be blue.  I am working out the prices with Sun Mountain.

When the final decision is made I will begin a new thread with the details - probably in about 10 days.  The same logo will be used as before, perhaps larger as the bag is larger, and will also be used on the shirt.

You should also keep in mind that this is not done as a profit maker for GCA so you should continue to follow Ran's contribution suggestions and not decrease your contribution because you believe GCA is making money on the bag or rain shirt.

Please understand that we will be using one color and one logo for the bags and the shirts otherwise the project gets too cumbersome and confusing.  The last time nearly every bag was shipped on time and to the correct address and any problems were corrected.

I am sure we are all excited to participate in the re-order.  Thanks for taking the leadership role once again.

Just an idea, but doesn't a member of the site run a virtual pro shop?  Perhaps we could set up a GCA shop and have the proceeds go to fund the site?  Seems like a win win to me.

Just a thought.
