I'm beginning to think there is no such thing as a "good" or "bad" match play course...for the best players in the world.
What makes for exciting match play, at least on TV? Great approach shots; long putts going in; unbelievable escapes; terrible shots; unlikely hole-outs; comebacks from large deficits. All of these will be produced by the pros on most any course. None of those guys are going to be playing the ground game on classic courses anyway.
Come to think of it, I might believe the same is the case for the major championships...
