Question about Mid Pines
« on: September 12, 2006, 10:46:53 PM »
Played Mid Pines today which i frequent this time of year. I was told that it is one of the only "untouched" Donald Ross courses around. I can honestly say I am not a big Donald Ross buff, however does anyone know what kind of truth there is to this statement?

My understanding is not much has been done to the course, it is a gem of the classic era, but certainly some work has been done over the years if just to maintain the bunkers and green surrounds in the original style.

Bill-

Thats exactly what I was thinking. I was just wondering if in fact this is the only Ross course that has not been worked on over the years.
