So lets hear what those ten-eight wrenches are!

Actually, I want to know what seven you would use.

NAF, you saw a better sandbelt than I've ever seen!  I played Swinley and the Addington when I was in London, and both were firmer and faster than anything I've seen in Melbourne.  Silloth today was significantly faster than either of those!

Chris - how did you enjoy Silloth and Swinley Forest? Plus, how did you enjoy the Open?

Ed, Swinley was absolutely fantastic, and the Open was everything I expected it to be and much more.  If anyone ever gets the opportunity to attend an Open Championship, they owe it to themselves to do so.

Silloth was awesome - so firm and so fast, it called for all the shots.  There is nothing resembling a weak or indifferent hole, just quality hole after hole.  Really tough to score out there, but ironically it was as good as I've played for eighteen months.  And in my first game at a real links course!

I'm glad you liked Silloth - it's absolutely superb. If it was on the other side of the Solway firth in Scotland you'd have busloads of Americans turning up every day, and it would be twice the price at least.
