Sean:
I really appreciate your keen insight on how "reasonable" something can be when you have NEVER -- repeat the last word after me -- NEVER -- played the hole in question.
It's pointless to try to explain something to someone when you throw forward such a silly and frankly ignorant assessment of my take when you have never played the hole in question. The room available in the fairway "choke point" comes down to no more than 20 maximum paces and the high grass to the sides does prevent a serious recovery should one land in those areas -- in addition the tee shot is 100% blind which further complicates matters.
My points on this hole have been explained numerous times and unlike Brian who posted a counter-position to mine -- someone who has played the hole far more than I -- you simply chime in from across the pond with your insightful analysis and critique on what it is I personally witnessed and if what I have said is reasonable.
Pictures are marvelous things -- however -- being there trumps the photo(s) everytime. I would hope you would know this -- being the smart fellow you are -- of course -- I'm assuming you know that and are a smart fellow too.
Please don't lead me to believe I'm wrong on both accounts.
