Guys,
I really enjoyed the round l played at the TPC last year. We played a week before the Seniors and the rough was unbelievably tough. While GD finally does have it in their Top 25 in State (only because not many have played it) it certainly should be in the Top 15. Yes it was built on a contaminated waste pit but Nicklaus did a great job of creating a fun, fair (most of the year), course that rewards solid ball striking. Is it architecturally significant? No not really. But that doesn't mean it isn't fun? Does every course need to be a lesson in great architecture to be worth playing? I don't think so. There are some tough holes and there are some easy holes. But there is enough variety of shots to keep you coming back and yearning for a better score. Worth a visit if you can get on.
