George:

As one of the aceless, let me congratulate you and extend my hatred at the same time.  ;D

To answer your question though:  nope, I never even think of it when playing the game, it's too depressing.  If I hit a shot that seems on-line, I just assume something's gonna stop it from going in, as well.  Resigned to my fate am I.   :'( :'(

Very cool, Steve.  I now hate both you and Ms. Sheila as well.  Damn it's tough carrying around all this hatred.... ;D

I guess once you've had one you figure the floodgates are open?

I can only imagine...  :'(

Huck,

Maybe not floodgates, but a relaxed feeling,..  its pretty cool to know you're in the club, so why worry, go for the damn pin!

that's what pisses me off the most, Tom.

It's not like I'm just totally jinxed and never hole anything.  I've holed a handfull of balls from 200+, for cripes sake.  I holed 3 shots over 150 in 8 days once.  I've holed one and hit the stick twice more for kick in's in the same round!  I feel fortunate that every so often, I knock a long shot in.

In a match at Dubsdread once, 3 down with 3 to play, I sniped a tee shot into the water left, took a drop and holed an 8 iron (we couldn't see it go in).  My opponent then hit his approach to 15 feet, missed his birdie, had about a foot for par (which I conceded, saying "that's good, nice match.... and started to concede the match), until he was gracious enough to remind me that I'd won the hole with 3 and was still dormie.  I thought I'd made 4, it was such a non-event in my mind.   ::)

Why it hasn't happened on a par 3 is a total mystery to me.    ???  >:(  :'(

Shiv, you need to start looking at life through Huck's rosy glasses. Aces are all about luck - well, mostly anyway. At least you can still win the lottery - I figure there's no chance for me now - how can a hack with an ace win the lottery too?  :)

Of course, the fact that I don't actually play the lottery hurts my chances as well.
