Wayne,

I KNEW that photo looked familiar. There's an almost identical stairway at Rockwood Hall, but the house is long gone. We used to hang out there all the time in high school. I always thought Pocantico Hills was right up the road...or is this the same place?

Two "purists" at the 17th tee - TPC at Sawgrass

Jason,
   Where is Pete B these days?  I haven't seen him around GCA lately, and I hope everything is going well for him.  Thankfully he was at my dinner table at Dixie Cup I, otherwise I'd be wormfood right now.

Cheers,
Brad

 I would be suitably impressed if somebody knows the name of the town in the backdrop.

Ciao

Sean that's London. ;)  But where is the course?
Let's make GCA grate again!

Tom,

Rockwood Hall (see Dan Wexler's book Lost Links) was the home of William Rockefeller down the road from Pocantico Hills, the home of JD Rockefeller.  Rockwood Hall had a Dev Emmett course.  Pocantico Hills still has the Flynn course, an innovative design of 19 holes with 11 greens, one of them a double green.

Sheesh,
there must be some universal rule that when two MB's get together on a golf course, there shall be precipitation.

See Professor Tit Leist's formula:

(MB+MB)2+CPC/KB=H2O

Maybe next time, we shall remain dry (on the outside at least... ;D)

FBD.
The White River runs dark through the heart of the Town,
Washed the people coal-black from the hole in the ground.

This is the best one I could find, but you know what I look like anyways Jordan... ;)

Pat is 6'4" something, though he doesnt look like it in the picture.

The sad thing is, I am 5 inches shorter yet probably 20 pounds more...

Of course, I can take Pat any time
 ;)

Good picture Pat, is that a course from the Tri Cities?

Jordan;

Thanks for posting the pic. Your truly is the 'debonair' fellow with the beard and red hat. Yes, compact, but with a huge heart!  ;)

Next to me is Moe, who is a hero of mine. He travels, plays, and does a lot of great write-ups for GKL. His partner in running GKL, Ron, is the photographer. If you download GKL's screensaver, I think you will appreciate him more, since he has beautiful camera skills. It is 150 full page pix of holes around KY, and most who download them [even friends outside of KY], keep it permanently on their active screen.

Thanks again;

Doug

Good Lord, I've lost weight. So did Wayne for that matter.

I think Sully shot like 34 on the C-Nine that day. While I made 34 on C-9...  :-[
