Here they are...the mop tops themselves:

I know somebody can do a better job of this, but I had to give it a try...

I'm surprised they didn't put them up on Mount Rushmore. Anyone?

Here's what it was like at Shea - I was in the upper deck behind home plate.  There was a solid line of police down between the foul lines and the stands as well as horse type barricades - no one was getting near the Fab Four.

They flew in by helicopter and landed behind the outfield wall. They were set up and performed at second base.  You heard very little over the screaming and no one got past the cops and no one could throw a jellybean far enough to hit them. They also left by going through the outfield and on to the helicopter.

there were a couple of opening acts who performed much closer to the crowd - included the fellow who sang the son Sunny.

I'm sorry I've let this go on so long.  It is NOT the Barefoot resort in Myrtle Beach which placed the ad.

A hint:  Barefoot only used one of the Fab Four of the winning answer.  And it wasn't Paul Cowley.

Please don't tell me Mike did that at Kiawah.

How about the Cliffs?

Great job on the photo.

I am shocked that teh answer is not Barefoot Resort.  Even if it is not the one TD had in mind, it is a very good guess.  In fact, the Fab Four reference has been used about that group directly, complete with reference to Ringo.  Here is a quote (verbatim) from Golf.com about Barefoot:

"Davis Love III may be the least prestigious designer among Barefoot's Fab Four — the others are Pete Dye, Tom Fazio and Greg Norman — but he's no Ringo. His Pinehurst-inspired track is the most fun of the bunch, a wide-open course that demands driver all day. "

I'm betting no one can guess who's Ringo ...

I'm really hoping it's Donald Ross.

Chris, that is terrific! Could you give it to us in the context of the Sgt. Pepper album cover?

JMorg,

Stu Sutcliffe was an artist buddy of John's, if my memory serves correctly. Lennon wanted him in the band - as a bass/guitar player - but Stu wasn't a very good musician.

Enter Harrison.

Joe Lee
Tom Fazio

Jerry,

Very cool that you were there (I tell a lot of people that I was at Woodstock; it's a lie but it gets a laugh). FYI "Sunny" was sung by Bobby Hebb (a one-hit wonder?):

Trump, Fireman, Young and Ray Halbritter.  That's like Count Chocula, Franken Berry, Boo Berry and Fruit Brute...but without the marshmallows.

Doug,

I believe "Sunny" was made a hit by the Classics IV. Bobby Hebb was only the composer.

I caddied Woodstock weekend at the Woodmere Club in 1969 but tried to make up for it by attending Watkins Glen in 1973. Wasn't the same.
