John,

I appreciate your discretion regarding the pithy exchange at Victoria National.  Accordingly, rather than make this quote available on ebay, I will share it exclusively with the first person at Dixie Cup to give me a ProV1, your permission pending of course.

Sadly, the young man who is the center of the story recently lost his father who I loved very much.  Out of respect for him I would request the story remains between us.  Thanks.

I wonder how high an eBay auction would go for a round at some of the great private golf courses?

You'd be refunding the money because the seller would be asked to leave the club and would be unable to deliver. ;)  Now, for charity silent auctions, I have seen huge numbers for courses in the Philadelphia area, upwards of $1,000 a person.

And no way that'd be as interesting as these auctions, unless one can play golf in a Norwegian accent.

It was the shipping costs, wasn't it?

The failure of my top ten list only goes to prove that lists do not sell magazines.  I attempted to not include shipping costs in my items but ebay forces you to include a cost.  I have started a new item which consists of golf course architecture wake up calls similar to what you get at the Bandon Resorts but much more interesting.  A link: http://tinyurl.com/3xt527

Yes, I think the academic review boards of Northwestern and Columbia Schools of Journalism will be reviewing your rigorous standards.   ???

If you promise to put the money towards Steve Curry's raffle, I may bid on your auction.  :-*

I am against turf research.  I prefer supers learn to grow what they got and quit trying to change turf to meet their talents or lack thereof.

Not quite.  It proves your ad didn't sell your list on eBay.  Nothing more.

If he isnt he should be.

Someone contact him and offer him a "complimentary" membership.  Anyone with this guys writing skills could add to our happy little family here.

Mr. e-bay, backspingolfer was kind enough to post a link to a photo of his recent-ex.
No actual golf rounds were ruined or delayed, nor golf rules broken, in the taking of any photographs that may be displayed by the above forum user.
