Yes. I'm also very surprised the apparently healthy young man doesn't walk.

I don't know that guy, for the matter.

Maybe, but I'm guessing that the picture makes it look tighter than it is. Also, that is a back tee, where mortals should not be playing. I believe that is Rich Harvest Farms, correct?

Jordan, the back tee on 5 at my course probably looks insane in a  picture as well.( I think we walked over there to look)

Oh, good God, an astroturf tee?!

Rich harvest...the one in Illinois?  Is that the one you mean.

This pic has a good explanation, but I like it anyway.  From the Dixie Cup:

Yes, I understand that your original investor had to back out after he was involved in an identity theft problem.  The scoundrels must have made off with his $300,000 of investment capital -- mishaps like that happen a lot in private equity, unfortunately....identity theft is rampant these days.

For now, stick with your current store:

PS, Thanks for the home equity line idea!!  Paypal coming!

The hole is much more open than it looks and the tee is not nearly as bad as Shivas claims or you would think. I played there this summer and had no problem with that tee or hole. A nice little cut gave you a nice look at the green. My opponentwent at the trees and had to cut his approach. No big deal, but you have to work the ball a little. Is golf supposed to be THAT easy?

No. But on the other hand I don't want to wear a cup, rec specs, and a helmet just so I can hit my tee shot.

If you hit a draw as I do, that tee shot is big trouble. I hit a nearly perfect tee ball, and clipped the overhanging branch on the right. :'(
Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

In the Australian summer, nearly all of us wear our collars like this, mainly to avoid the tedious inconvenience of dying of skin cancer. If you use cream only to cover the back of your neck, it is three applications per round minimum.

Dan -

Trust me, no one is wilder off the tee than I am and those thoughts never crossed my mind. You won't need any of the items you mentioned, just a baby cut driver. Just ask Cary.

Tony, do you have the spray-on sunscreen down there?  I swear by that stuff, Banana Boat in particular.  It doesn't sweat off, your hands don't get slippery from the application, and since it's a spray it's hard to miss spots.  Only downside is that it has to be at least 120 proof.  Keep the eyes and mouth closed.

With the state of the leaves on those trees, it doesn't look like sun protection is the goal for that young gawfer.

Jim, it may not be as narrow as it would appear in the photo but do you need a flashlight in summer to find the thing?  When the trees have leaves it must be nye on dark inthem woods.

I am assuming the post about astroturf is a joke but that Super needs an atta boy if he can grow grass in there!
