TN,

Thanks for the link.  The connection is clipping badly.  I have Comecast cable, and downloaded whatever latest version of the media player I was prompted to by the link.  Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Lou, I didn't have a single problem, in fact I was amazed how well the Golfweek guys have gotten this thing working tech-wise, similar to YouTube.  Maybe you've been looking at it during a busy time?  I would try again later, maybe even reboot and see if it comes in differently.

nice interview, I've always enjoyed Kessler and I've always found Brad Klein to be very open to questions/ideas.

Brad Klein was fabulous and I enjoyed that interview a lot although I am at odds with the Tiger at Medinah statement. I just can't look at Kessler the same anymore.

TN,

I reloaded the media software after turning off my spyware program and the program played fine.  Interesting comments, though I don't understand how the architecture at WFW will force the pros to depart from their strong suit of hitting the ball to specific targets (i.e. specific distances).

Kessler made an interesting comment regarding the many false fronts and suggested that the pros may pass up on trying to keep the ball below the hole (likely resulting in long putts and pitches) in favor of closer, breaking and speedier putts from pin high or above the hole.  It will be interesting to watch what strategy plays out the best.

Here is rooting for firm, windy conditions.

Hard to believe he credited Plainfield to Tillinghast. Even the best of us can make miskes.

Did I hear Brad say that Tillie was the greatest architect ever?

 Bob,

He was responding to Kessler's question that went something like " Is Tillinghast the best designer?". Those kind of questions put you in an awkward postion. He could have launced into  a full scale gca. com tangent there. So, I will cut him some slack.

There's no question Tillinghast was the best architect ever---but only in the late afternoons. In the mornings he was way down the list---pedestrian at best. This, my friends, is called "flask architecture". The theory is when the flask is low one is really truly, guaranteed to be most definitely extra smart and immensely creative. Only problem is you must pay for it the next morning with crucified brain cells that produce nothing more than petulant and bland ideas.

Tommy,

Thanks for the feed.

I thought it was just the kind of interview that GCA.com would like.

You have all the ingredients to our liking.

A U.S. Open starting tomorrow
WFW
AWT
TV Interview
Kessler
Klein
Architectural discussion

This is precisely the type of TV exposure I'd like to see GCA enjoy prior to every Major.

Perhaps every PGA Tournament.

Watching this reminds me of how much the Golf Channel needs Kessler back. He is one of the most prepared host I've ever seen. Talk about doing your homework.
Brad, you're okay too.
A wonderful way to start the Open week.
Thanks!
