Sometime GCA-er John Cavalier was interviewed on the Golf Channel a couple of days ago. Nine minute video here:

Jon did an excellent photo tour of Ballyhack ten years ago.

Wanted to kill the interviewer. “Do you think you want to quit your job!”.  “Isn’t Augusta better in person than you expected?”.

 No Gracie mentions disappointed me.

I hope Jon doesn't mind me posting this, but when my brothers and I took a trip to Bandon in 2015 with some friends, we had an open spot and Jon joined us.

He took a ton of pictures from all kinds of crazy angles, yet somehow never slowed down play at all. It was impressive.

One guy who was on the trip with us later told us "My favorite photo I took during the trip was a picture I took of Jon taking a picture!"

Also, I remember Jon left a day early because one of his dogs was not doing well and his wife was worried they were going to have to put the dog down. So Jon left to go be with the dog and his wife. In the interview he mentioned that he helps animal welfare charities, which doesn't surprise me based on my experience with him at Bandon.

Congrats Jon, nice interview and glad to see you're still out there doing it. Obviously playing all these clubs is great but there is a lot of time and effort that he puts into what he does.
