Personally, if I'm immediately able to recall the entire routing and general characteristics of the majority of holes, it's likely a course I enjoyed. The more vivid the recollection, the more I probably enjoyed it. That doesn't necessarily make it "good/great" in the eyes of GCA.com, but it does rank it highly in my own mind.
Conversely, courses I can't recall the routing are typically because I find them generic and/or repetitive, and many of the holes blend together in my head.
