James Braid was a man who liked a small bump to the front and slightly off centre of some of his greens. One I know well is the 2nd at Killermont which despite the trees with the overhanging branches, the gully just to the left of line of play and the greenside bunker, the small bump (not large enough to call a mound) still dictates play more than anything.
There is also a nice one front and slightly left on 16th green on Gullane 3. For some reason I have it in the back of my head that Braid might have been responsible for that one too.
