For these guys it doesn't really matter I think.
They all knew:
1) yardage to carry to the island
2) yardage to carry the bunker
3) yardage to the water behind.
I think they will use that information far more than what their eye will tell them.
Disagree to some degree.
A bunker aids greatly in depth perception.
A player is greatly aided by visuals, now matter how "by the numbers" he is.
Especially in between yardages (which most are) and in windy conditions.
The eyes and brain are greatly underrated as incredible tools for distance control-and can aso be fooled by clever visual architecture (bunker well in front of green)
