Goodness, Patrick, if I were what you accuse me of being, I'd have a hard time derailing the 10 or so threads you've started in the past 12 hours. I have to give you credit, because when I had four threads on the front page, I was criticized for such verbosity. Ron, one of the differences is that I don't attempt to deliberately derail threads, you do. Perhaps the number of threads I recently initiated overwhelmed, by shear numbers, your abilility to derail, especially since I don't believe that you've ever played a MacKenzie course As to your being criticized for starting a number of threads, maybe it had something to do with the topics. Yours are obviously fundamental to the continued evolution of this DB and I hope to read all of them. Whenever I initiate a new thread, Bill McBride and/or you attempt to derail it.If that's evolution, so be it.I tried to relate some of my recent architectural experiences on a few California courses I recently played.I (heavy sigh) guess that it's beneath you to make a list of the Dr. MacKenzie courses you've played. Lord knows it would be an olive branch on your part.If you understood the context of the thread I posted, you'd understand that the list of the AM courses I played is irrelevant to that thread. And, if you read my thread/s individually and collectively, you'd know what courses of the Good Doctor's I've played. I'm not in the habit of spoon feeding lazy readers or readers lacking fundamental comprehension skills, especially when their motives are to derail a thread. If you've played none of AM's courses, why would you care which one's I've played ? You'd have no frame of reference by which to judge my replies. You continue to offer nothing of interest on this thread or any of the other recent threads I initiated, choosing instead to try to derail them.I often lay awake at night, in a dreamlike state, imagining what a debate between you and you would be like. It would remind me of the argument between two notably stubborn Spaniards: one a Basque and the other a Navarren. The Basque said that he could hammer a nail through a cinder-block wall with his head. The Navarren said that he could not. The Basque started banging away and all the bar's patrons gathered round to watch. Although bloodied, the Basque persisted and was two to three blows away from success when the Navarren angrily left the bar. Two blows later, all were poised to celebrate the Basque's somewhat-odd feat of strength and stubbornness. He smashed...and smashed...and smashed, but the nail wouldn't budge. On he hit until he fell over and died, one blow short of success. The above is typical of your posts.Totally lacking in any substance and having nothing to do with the topic of the thread I initiated. It's continued evidence of your attempt to derail the thread. You add nothing of value on this thread......... and many others."Man, he was so close," they said as the exited the bar...where they found the corpse of the Navarren, dead from smashing the nail back through the cinder block with his head~Funny story, huh? Ron, what's funny is that what you've typed is nothing more than a pathetic attempt to derail another thread. You have nothing of substance to add. You have no experience in playing MacKenzie courses. You've violated the principle rule of prudent thought.Rather than have us think that you're a moron, what you typed is irrefutable evidence that you are a moron.Since none of us ever met Dr. MacKenzie in the flesh, we really have no idea how he thought, what his personality was like, and what his favorite holes were. The above is exhibit "A" in proving how dumb and uninformed you are. We do know what MacKenzie thought because he committed pen to paper and through his written word informed us as to what some of his favorite holes were. By the by, when did he actually declare that the 16th hole at Pasatiempo was his favorite par four? It's a matter of public record, go look it up if you're in doubt. And why should an architect's favorite holes matter to us? This has to be one of the dumbest, most moronic statements ever made on this site, a site devoted to golf course architecture. With the above statement, you've proved what an imbicile you are. Such a subjective distinction is surely not important to an empirical site such as this one, am I correct? No, in fact, rarely, and certainly not regarding the above statement.
