Reminded me of Olympic cross country skiing.

Hi Bob,

Long, and demoralizing after playing three tightly organized holes.  I'd estimate #3 green to #4 tee on a typical play day is 300 yards, significantly uphill.

 8) .. definitely over 250 by my measurement, sure feels like 300 with 50 + ft climb, but I'll always consider the hike up 12 the worse at site..

The number of stairs and level changes reminded me of when they moved my Grandpa to a different ward in the hospital and I couldn't find him.....

Bob,
I measured the over the ground distance on Google Earth at approximately 275 yards with an estimated walking time of 3.2 minutes. However, now with the stairs and bridges you've got to add more steps and more time.

The distance between 14 and 15 measured 325 yards (but I think they shortened it by adding a short cut across the 12th fairway). My original rough estimate of the total green to distance is about 2100 yards or roughly 1.2 miles. That would make the total green to tee walking time about 28 minutes.

There's something wrong when you have to walk 17,600 yards to play a 7,600 yard golf course.
