Sagebrush ownership change

Hard to believe that $44 million was spent developing Sagebrush on top of capital losses of $3 to $5 million a year. Some crazy accounting going on there.

For many people in North America (not to mention Asia) it would be easier to get to Sagebrush than Bandon since it is a 3 hr drive from YVR which is a major international airport with direct flights from most places in North America, not to mention the rest of the world.  If you want to get closer you can fly to Kamloops and drive for 79 minutes. 

For Bandon you are on two flights unless you live in San Fran or Portland, OR or have the aforementioned G3.

Don't knock Sagebrush until you have played it. Granted it is only one course, but it is one awesome course. I liked Pac Dunes better and Old Mac was on equal footing. Sagebrush is a special place. And yes, both are a pain in the ass to get to.

I'm not going to knock Sagebrush.  I actually find these difficult to get to courses very intriguing and part of the allure of those courses.  Part of the fun of going to Bandon, for me, was the journey to get there.  A long-ish flight, a quick round in Eugene and a pleasant, scenic drive to the coast.  It was perfect

I hear you and from what I've seen, Sagebrush looks terrific.  I'm just saying that I'm much more likely to make the travel-related effort to go to a place with 4-6 great courses than to a place with 1.  And that's before you factor in the fact that Sagebrush is private, so with Sagebrush, I'd have to be committing to make that trip often.

I have been a member of Sagebrush for three years. Since then I have played Pacific Dunes and The Preserve once. It is a matter of being able to ride. To me it is worth every penny and every mile.
