Metedeconk National Golf Club has a great practice facility that rivals Pine Valley GC's as the best I've ever seen.

It's the best I've ever seen in person.  By a large margin.

Metedeconk is, by far, the best practice facility that I have ever seen at a golf course.  It's huge -- looks large enough for a par 3 course.  It's varied -- lots of options.  And it's beautifully conditioned.

Jon, we were there just the other day for our Four-Ball Stroke Play Championship and guys who had never been there before couldn't wrap their minds around how vast an area it comprised (over 20 acres).  Guys didn't want to leave it.

It's really amazing. I rarely practice (biggest weakness of my game; I like to play too much) but I really enjoyed spending an hour on that range. Just an incredible variety of stuff to do.

"What is the point?":

La Grange CC - a cigarette, doughnut and 2 swings with a Medicus is a more viable warmup than hitting Cayman balls.
 
Riverside GC (IL): "I bet I can bank a ball off of the next Oldsmobile that drives down 1st Avenue."

My favorite is the "range" at Metacomet in RI which is basically the 11th fairway

Victoria National and Muirfield Village are the two best ranges I've ever hit balls on.

Even though I've probably beat more balls there than anywhere else, Bethpage's is awful considering how amazing the rest of the property is.

My favorite in the Dallas area is Royal Oaks with a two ended range with good tree definition ,a fairway bunker and extensive variety of grasses and types of practice greens which lets a pro get ready for the type of grass about to be played.(Agree that the short game area at Dallas National is excellent). My favorite ranges are Wakaloa on the big island and the Broadmoor in Colorado. Could spend all day at either one.

Very suprised to see Castle Pines on that list???

Yes this is very surprising to me. Not a very large range, hitting steeply uphill and not a great short game area either. Must be for the attentive service provided by the guys who man the range, which is exceptional. The practice facilites at the adjacent Castle Pines CC are much better.

Merit Club in Libertyville, IL has an excellent practice range.  A 2 sided driving range with plenty of distance and targets, a very nice short game area, several practice greens as well as a very good 3-hole practice loop.
