Michael,

I , too, found  it a very engaging lunch at our table having conversation with  King Oehmig and his stories including his time spent at the University of the South, (Sewanee) and their golf course where he obtained his masters degree in Divinity.

Not sure what you mean by "lunch is what this site is all about" except perhaps we might be all about pimento cheese here.

It was great meeting all at Chattanooga, Lookout Mountain, and Battle Creek.
Joe, job well done in setting this up.
Amazing story how Doug found out his course was a Raynor.
Rob, amazing course.  Wanted to play it all day.

Nashvillian here upset to just now be hearing about this! Finally Tennessee is getting more golf to be proud of. Some old college friends and I will actually be doing our own version of this trip the first weekend of May. We are staying in an old cottage in Monteagle Assembly and here is our itinerary:

Friday, May 2nd - Honors
Saturday, May 3rd - Lookout Mountain
Sunday, May 4th - Open, but planning on squeezing Sewanee in at some point.
Monday, May 5th - Golf Club of Tennessee (scramble - ugh)

How's that for an outing to kick off 2014 right? I'll hope for better weather!
