Way, way OT - Goodwood Revival 2013
« on: December 17, 2012, 01:42:18 PM »
First, I apologize for bringing a non-golfing topic to this thread, but I am desperately seeking suggestions from the British contingency on this site for seating information for the 2013 Goodwood Revival.  I have scoured the internet for information on seating for the event, and have found little help.  Has anyone attended?  Suggestions of General Admission vs. Grandstand seating?  I am sending my car loving father to the festival next year, and I know the event sells out, so I want to buy tickets now.  Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Michael,
I went to their website and clicked on the grandstands link. At the bottom of that link you can buy tickets and upgrade to grandstand tickets. I'd also want to check out their stay-over link because it seems a lot to take in with jjust one day.

Michael there is a course there, by Braid I think, "restored " by Howard Swann, so it's only way O/T. ;)

The biggest ticket agency does list it but has nothing for next year(yet). If the other site fails keep watching ticketmaster.

Just a bit of clarification: I was hoping someone could give advice on which tickets to buy.  I have scoured the internet looking for information on which is the best option - best viewing, convenience to all the attractions, etc.  Does buying a grandstand seat get you into any of the grandstands?  Is buying a seat in a grandstand at the end of the course a waste of money because it is inconvenient?  Finding no "Insider's Guide to Goodwood" I am reaching out to anyone that can guide me.  Feel free to send me an email.  In fact, it would probably be more appropriate.  Thanks.
