St. Andrews has morphed into Disney Golf, or as we in Fife would say, "Disnay Gowf anymore."  It's still a great place to visit for a lunch and a bit of shopping, but vis a vis golf, only a quick 11-13 holes on the Eden in the gloaming is interesting to an afficionado.....

What I would give to score an annual pass and play in the evenings after the well heeled riff-raff have made the turn.

If you're talking TOC, I'm pretty sure sure the first tee shuts down and is booked until then

We played TOC after the Buda this year with a GCAer who has such a pass (an American who moved to St. Andrews for that purpose).  He got the afternoon tee time through the local ballot, which according to him, is much more ample than the one for visitors.  He stated that he often goes out by himself or as a two-ball an hour or two after the last tee time at TOC and plays a full round without much bother.  I doubt that he was making this up.

Lou in my experience it’s rare for all of the booked dark times to finish, in daylight.

This thread is the height of hipster snobbery.
It is almost the exact opposite.  Still, it's been a while since you posted something controversial and pointless just for the hell of it.

Weird, I don’t think you and I have ever had an interaction on this website.  Id be curious to hear about your best of 2017 and 2018.

BTW, make sure to congratulate your buddy Mayhugh on getting a membership at Oakmont!!
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.
