If one were to choose to dramatically re-organize his/her life, and pick himself/herself up lock, stock and barrel, and change homes and jobs and drag families half way across the world, and if one did all this only so as to be a short train ride from Ganton and to play it a couple of times a week, all year long and year in and year out -- if someone were to do such a thing, I wouldn't think him/her kooky or misguided but very very sane. So many hands involved in shaping the course over so many decades, and yet it looks so much all of one piece, all cut from the same cloth; and the flowers and the chruch steeple -- ahh, to have karma good enough that one day you'd come back as the head professional at Ganton, a goal much to be desired.
