To those interested in some of the work and general info on Askernish as well as how to get there - check out the 2011 summer Newsletter on the following link http://www.askernishgolfclub.com/newsletters/Askernish%20Newsletter%20Summer%202011.pdf

Also attached is the Askernish 'Old Tom Open' Entry Form for March 2012 as well as Brian Wilson Focus report http://www.brianwilsonwrites.com/docs/WHFP_askernish_20110902.pdf.

I also attach a link to Elite Scottish Golf Pasport http://www.origin252.com/Elite%20Golf%20Passport/courses_a-z.html with a good list of many courses.

Summer?

I didn't realize I had gone so far north that I'd wound up SOUTH.  ;)

Thanks Melvyn,

A newsletter with a photo by Aidan. How can you beat that?

Well, according to Brian Wilson, you've moved to Kansas. I hope it went smoothly ... :D

Does that prove that Tom does not know what he is doing or from whence he has been let alone come - looking at some recent designs perhaps that explains them rather well ;D

Only joking Tom, but at times you are way South when it come for land fit for purpose ;)

So who wants to team up for the "Texas Scramble?"

Could this be the first scramble in history that didn't use carts?

John,

As you well know, any self-respecting course over here doesn't allow carts.  We do however have Scrambles so it wont be the first either way!  :)

£25 for 3 days golf...laughable.  Cant wait to see it.

2011 highlights- Royal Aberdeen, Loch Lomond, Moray Old, NGLA (always a pleasure), Muirfield Village, Saucon Valley, watching the new holes coming along at The Renaissance Club.

Scrambles in Scotland - now that boggles my mind.
