No, but it doesn't equal a hard one either, unless you get it up on the 8,000 range, then maybe its difficult. But if they continue to insist the golf course be long with flatish greens capable of handling 13-14 speeds, then no length will be very difficult. But there is one problem here that no one wants to look at. None of these courses have much variety in the par 4's. Oakmont has them ranging from like 320 to 520. Pine Valley has nearly the same. If golf courses continue to want par 4's to be in the range of 400-470, then they will all be easy for these guys. The greens aren't designed to receive wedge shots, they're designed to receive 7 iron shots. There are a number of things that could be done to make courses harder without length, just no one wants to do it. Pebble provided plenty of challenge last year at just a touch over 7000 max length, and I am not sure it played that long any day.
