Trump's Wonderful World of Golf
« on: December 17, 2010, 07:47:57 PM »
Just saw a clip of an episode, not sure how new or old it is. He is at a new course he is building and he is talking about making a HUGE driving range for the course. The show then shows a studio clip of him saying how important driving ranges are to courses, and how a few elite, and highly ranked courses, in Westchester County, don't have driving ranges. Then, he goes on to say that courses with no driving range, do not deserve to be ranked, at all.

On top of that, I just realized something else. Trump's wonderful world of golf? Sounds like Shell's Wonderful World of Golf to me. Only difference is, and fitting for Trump's "vibe", is Trump has athletes play matches, instead of good golfers.

Too funny, if you ask me

Your all's thoughts?

Travis -

The exploits and persona of Mr. Trump have been discussed here many, many times over the past several years.

Here is a thread going back to 2006: http://golfclubatlas.com/forum/index.php/topic,26852.0.html

Here is a more recent thread, about his project in Abereen: http://golfclubatlas.com/forum/index.php/topic,46332.0.html

It's "Trump's Fabulous World of Golf"

I think Quaker Ridge in Westchester County, NY is a much better course than any of Trump's even though it doesn't have a driving range. He's just jealous none of his courses are ranked as high as QR.

The Trump in Scotland episode is jaw dropping. He is such a jackass and buffoon I actually like him.

Although I wished he would leave the design over there to the professionals as he can only hurt the design, IMO.

Totally agree.  Seems like he picked the right guy.....a guy who'll agree with everything he says.
