Don't bother trying to draw any connection to the 14th at Dornoch--I have played with the gentleman who named the holes (or at least that's what HE believes!) and how they were named, and there was no specific attempt to connect the two holes---it was just a hole name from Scotland that the guy liked, and he said he didn't have a more obvious historical or regional name for #2, so he just used it there...
interestingly, there is a hole later in the round that has some vague similarities to Dornoch's Foxy, in my opinion...
