The longest stretch until the first par 3

Kyle's thread on Carnoustie prompted me to ask this question. At Carnoustie, the first par 3 does not come until the 8th hole. Are there other courses where the first par 3 comes so late? Are there any when it comes even later?

The Old Course! So technically waiting until the 8th for a par 3 is the standard.  ;)

I may be proven wrong, but I don't think I have ever seen a course that didn't have a par-3 in the first nine holes.  As far as I can remember, the 8th at Carnoustie and the 8th at St. Andrews are the record.  Rock Creek's first par-3 is also the eighth, coincidentally.

Can't match 8 holes but Alexandria Golf Club where Tom Lehman grew up (and my home course) starts out with 5 straight 4 pars, a par 5 then the signature hole, par 3 7th.  The course plays to par 72 with 3 par 3's and three par 5's.

Ladies and gentleman we have a winner.... The Navy golf course, Seal Beach, CA. Tiger's home track doesn't have a par 3 until #9.

Bellingham Golf and Country Club doesn't have a Par 3 until the 8th hole as well, and it also has the distinction of having a Par 3 finishing hole.

The Island Golf Club in Dublin starts with 8 consecutive par 4's the ninth is a par 3

TOC of course!

If it was the other way round - the Golf House Club Elie - finishes with 7 par 4's after the 11th as well as between the 3rd and the 11th.

The Island as Ben correctly states... Although we will soon see a new Hawtree Par-3 to break that sequence...
