Who was the first architect to build a Biarritz green on an original design in the modern era, post 1959?

Hmmm.
I received an email about the Crook Point Resort Golf Club in Oregon, described as a Dye design, and there is a Biarritz there. I was thinking Pete Dye might have been doing them all along.

Could responders note wether the modern biarritz greens are maintained at green height in front?
I dont get the old ones where its not. Not being able to run a shot thru the swale on swampy US courses seems like a waste of effort.

This is the kind of question I would expect the "experts" on this site would jump at. Is Black Creek the most recent? Saucon Valley?

Mike:
All the ones I know of have the front portion mowed at green height. About the originals, not sure I know of one where it was impossible to run a ball through the swale mowed at fairway height.
Anthony:
And why do you think that is the case?
