PGA - Great Finishes

Based on the last few years, the PGA has had fantastic finishes; Tiger/Yang, Sergio/Paddy, Tiger/May etc.  Is is the courses? setup?  I would like to see the US Open like this year in and year out.

I liked the fact that Hazeltime did not resort to the "chipping areas" gimmick and shaving the banks so balls would roll into water.

Really?  I thought that setup was so one-dimensional it was boring.  Miss the green by 12", find the ball, chop it out.  I would love to have seen some tightly mown areas where the players could be creative.  Tiger had 3 grisly lies down the stretch and only really missed one of those shots.

The other thing I HATED was the nests of Rees bunkers, half a dozen in a group, all neatly in the rough by a yard or two.  Reminded me of Bethpage Black.  Twice in one year is regrettable.

I think Brent's referring to last year - in the PGA at Oakland Hills. Hazeltine sure has produced some "exciting finishes" has it not ?

Chipping area gimmick? I thought the gimmick was to have 6 inches of grass next to the putting surfaces. With 20+ mph winds for 4 days the setup made for some pretty boring golf.
