Or what the well-dressed Golfer was wearing in 1912 when a certain Mr Wilson was trying to understand the quality of our courses.
Perhaps it was the original father of Darth Vader in uniform anticipating the arrival of a certain Tiger Woods and the inevitable temper tantrum and the flying club.

Let me introduce you to our Mr Harry Dearth who donned a suite of armour to play a round of golf in 1912. Golf was never meant to be easy but this hard, no, I think not.

Hope the ground was firm, those poor Greens. Playing with just half a swing and all that weight, did he not, do well?

Today we use carts, and all manner of aids, he walked with a suit of armour.

Don’t you just love it?

Melvyn

Love it Melvyn,

But now that you've see the pictures of Kalen and my WALKING match, you have to realize we still punish the ground even without the suit of armour.

More drivel from Melvyn.

We are all very familiar with your feelings on modern golf by now.... ::) :P
What does it matter if the poor player can putt all the way from tee to green, provided that he has to zigzag so frequently that he takes six or seven putts to reach it?     --Alistair Mackenzie--
