Ah yes...I see the little Celtic symbols in the stone work on the club house...

WStriats, with the Irish Cottage-style clubhouse framing the 9th/18th hole/greens and the dozens (hundreds?) of mounds Dye built for folks to sit on to watch the final holes on each nine. The 18th is widely viewed as one of WS's worst holes, including some regular GCA posters. Both holes traverse a broad and rugged racine that fronts or runs alongside the two holes.
