Wow - When OM is done - no four courses in the world, at such close proximity, will be able to hold a candle to Bandon.
I wish I lived in Eugene instead of Portland to make the 5 hr drive only 2 hrs.
How did you shoot PF?
We've had very dry winter in OR, a great year to make the early trip.
You are correct Rob, when Old MacDonald is done this will be the top destination in the whole world. 4 absolutely amazing golf courses built within the last 10 years all at one site, it’s hard to fathom. I actually played the best at Bandon Dunes in the horrible conditions, at Pacific I think I was so enamored by the beauty it was hard to concentrate on the golf shot required, and at Bandon Trails the greens were considerably faster than the other courses.
these pictures look awesome. I have to make a trip one of these days. i guess the problem in life is "so many good golf course so little vacation time"
one question though and forgive my ignorance. The original post says that all 4 courses were played but i was under the impression that there were only three courses at bandon, with the 4th under construction. What am i missing?
Well, I had the unbelievable opportunity to walk the full 18 holes and play the 10 finished ones at Old MacDonald. To sum it up, you really do feel like you are in Scotland playing this course. The Alps punchbowl will be an awesome hole for the general public to see, it will definitely catch a lot of peoples attention.
