Re Halmstad ranked third. I grew up there and there are two courses, of which the North is considered the better. However, back in the days there used to be tournaments held over a composite course using the original 18 "old course" holes, and that was as good as it ever got in Sweden, or continental Europe for that matter. I wonder if the Solheim Cup was played on the North or the "old" composite course?...

As for the good words on Denmark, my opinion is that for quality golf one is better off heading across the bridge to Sweden and hit Falsterbo, Ljunghusen and Flommen, all cery close to each other. There, you can experience how linksland can naturally provide waterhazards/ponds etc, a topic discussed elsewhere a while back.
