I just got a fast Skype call from Wayno Morrison who's playing many of the great English courses with his son and brother (and others). He said it was the greatest, he was blown away by Huntercombe (and some others) and he's taking a ton of photos and notes.
He was in a hurry and I asked him if he could encapsulate things for me down into a single sentence:
Wayno Morrison:
"Yeah, that pompous "engineered style" so-called architect C.B. Macdonald should have spent a lot more time making notes and sketches and drawings here and he might've actually learned something about architecture!"
(This time I hope nobody freaks out again and thinks he's disrespecting the Father of American arhitecture).
